Collective Haul and Review - Mecca Maxima and The Body Shop !

I recently did a mini haul from The Body Shop and Mecca Maxima. In today's post am sharing my haul and also mini review of the products I got. 

The Body Shop Stuff

Vitamin E Moisture Cream - I have raved about the Vitamin E facial wash here and also really enjoyed the Vitamin E intense moisture cream. So I decided to try the Vitamin E moisture cream this spring/summer and have been really enjoying it. This is my second tub. It is a light, refreshing and quick absorbing cream, perfect for summer.

Vitamin E Face Mist - This face mist is good as a quick refresher or to give your skin a moisture boost. I use it before my cream as an added layer of hydration or throughout the day as a refreshing face mist. On very hot days I can even skip my moisturiser.

 

Early Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel - This was from a limited edition range and I got this in spring discount. I don't think its available anymore. I love citrus and berry fragrances and The Body Shop Raspberry shower gel is just perfect. Its refreshing and has the most gorgeous zingy scent perfect for morning showers. 

Bath Lily - I love The Body Shop loofahs, they are soft and last really well, more than any others I have tried. This is also a repurchase.

Origins Never a Dull Moment Skin - Brightening Face Polisher
I have been wanting to try a new scrub and I love Origins and brightening products, so decided to pick this one. Will have to see how it goes.

REN Rosa Centifolia Foaming Cleanser 
This was recommended by the Mecca SA, based on my current cleanser which is The Body Shop Vitamin E cleanser, she suggested that this is gentle but a foaming cleanser. I am excited to try this.

Origins Dr. Andrew Weil Mega-Bright eye cream 
This was again a recommendation by the SA for hydration and dark circles so am curious to see how it performs. I am yet to find a good eye cream and nothing seems to work for my horrendous dark circles.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal mask 
I picked this because I have heard so much about this mask and had to try it and to be honest my skin can definitely benefit from this good stuff. 

Soap and Glory Rich & Foamous Shower Gel 
I loved the Soap & Glory Breakfast Smoothie scrub and wanted to try one of their body washes, so decided to pick this one. Well, I guess you can sense a pattern, foamy, brightening !

Birthday Haul and Some Gifts !

Hi everyone, today is just a quick post sharing my birthday haul. 

I shopped for me, myself for my birthday from The Body Shop and here is what I bought, Almond Hand and Nail Cream, Vitamin E Gentle Cleanser and Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream. I am excited to try the Vitamin E Range. The Almond Hand and Nail cream is a repurchase.

I also got some gifts from the hubby (well, I asked for them;)). I wanted to try the Bumble and Bumble Sunday shampoo as I wanted a new clarifying shampoo. I have been wanting to try something from L'occitane since long and chose the Almond range. I got the gift pack of the Almond range which consists of the full size Almond milk concentrate and shower scrub and sample size of hand cream and shower oil.

Priceline 40% off Skincare Haul !

Recently Priceline had their 40% off skincare haul and of course I hauled big time ! I stocked on stuff that I use regularly but also bought some exciting stuff to try :) Today's post is just a quick one showing you what I got.

Repurchases

Garnier Clean Sensitive 2 in 1 gentle makeup remover - This is dual phase and my go to makeup remover for mascara and mainly for eye makeup. I just cannot be without it.
Bioderma Crealine H20 - I don't like this as a makeup remover but love it as a cleanser and since it is fairly expensive, sale was a good time to stock up on this.
Burt's Bees tinted lip balm - I love this lip balm, have had this in Hibiscus before, bought this in Rose this time
Vaseline Intensive Care spray moisturiser - There is no secret I love this, this is my third can.
Nivea Soft Hand Cream - This is just a basic, good, affordable hand cream
Biore Pore Strips - not much to talk about, this is just necessary :)
Olay Complete Defence Daily Moisturising lotion SPF 30 - This is my go to AM moisturiser and I always have backups of this

New things to try

Antipodes Minis - I bought both the night and the day minis. I have used the Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing night cream but wanted to try some other stuff from the brand.
Dr. Lewinns 4 Fusion Cleansing oil - I have been wanting to try a cleansing oil since some time now, when I saw Bottled Beauty rave about this, I decided to give this a go.
Nivea lip butter Raspberry Rose - These were so hyped up when they were launched so decided to finally try this
Burt's Bees Lemon Butter cuticle cream - I find Burt's Bees expensive so picked this on sale.
Sanctuary Spa Gentle Polish Body Scrub - Wanted to try some Sanctuary Spa and as I love body scrubs.
Sanctuary Spa Body Moisturise spray - My love for sprays and my laziness got me to buy this
Avene Eau Thermal Spring Water - I love water spray type products and this one is very popular so decided to try this.

USA Beauty Haul - Sephora, MAC and Drugstore !

Today is an exciting day as I am sharing with you my haulage from US. My husband was travelling for work and I obviously took advantage and hauled some stuff..

Sephora and MAC

From Sephora, I bought the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and Kat Von D Tattoo Eye liner. I got some samples free Benefit They're Real mascara, Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline EDP, NEST White Sandalwood EDP, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo.

I bought MAC Peaches Sheertone blush and MAC Impassioned Lisptick. 

Drugstore Goodies

I bought the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Eye Palette as it has a good mix of neutrals and a bit of color and their eyeshadows are really good quality. I also bought the elf Eyelid Primer and elf blush brush. I have heard such good things about this Dove Hair Therapy Refresh+Care Dry Shampoo and so wanted to try it.

Jewellery and Bag Haul !

A while back Colette had 50% off on all jewellery and needless to say I shopped ! I have also been wanting to buy a new bag and I found something that I really like. Today's post is my recent bag and jewellery haul :) Enjoy !

I bought three necklaces from Colette. 

I bought this fun colorful chunky necklace from Colette as I don't have anything in these colors. I got this for 8.48$.

I bought this diamante necklace in the black metal. I love this because it is a neutral piece and will go with everything. I got this for 8.48$.

Finally this pearl necklace, I love it because it is edgy as opposed to a lot of pearl necklaces. I got this for 6.48$.

On to the bags, I bought this bag from Strandbags. It is by the brand Marikai. This was for 69.99, I got this for 39$. 

I wanted to buy a black cross body bag. I bought this black with gold hardware from Sportsgirl (discounted 23$).

Priceline 40% off Haul

A while back Priceline did a 40% off all cosmetics over two days and no surprises here, that I definitely wanted to dig in. 

I tried to be a good girl and only bought stuff that I knew I will get good use of.

I am lazy with my daily makeup as I don't have enough time in the mornings, my everyday makeup mainly comprises of kajal, some colored or black eyeliner, mascara and lipstick or lip balm and my haul is mostly on the same lines.

I bought two mascaras, the newly launched "Loreal False Lash Butterfly and an oldie "Covergirl Lash Blast". 

I also bought the "Loreal Lumi Magique primer" as I have heard good things about it and who doesn't love a glowy and dewy finish.

I bought four eyeliners, two Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in Black, I absolutely love this eyeliner, its a beautiful deep black eyeliner, so I bought backups. I love wearing colored eyeliners, so I bought a Savvy by DB eyeliner in Jade and Revlon Colorstay in Grey. 

Finally also bought a Models Prefer dome smudge brush. So that was my haul :)

I have been lemming to buy some nail polish since a while now and Priceline had Introductory offer on Essie (2 for $20) , so I took advantage of it..

I bought 

• Be Foaming Cleanser - I would be trying this for the time
• Olay Complete Defence SPF 30 + moisturising lotion - This is my go to daytime moisturiser. Review HERE
• Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Day Cream - This was half off and I have heard a lot about this one, so am sure this would be worth trying.
• Organix Biotin and Collagen Shampoo - I like Organix shampoos. I think this is a new one, I wanted to give this a go.

This is the last leg of the Haul-a-thon week we had last week. I am ending my vacation hauls with some magazines and books..

For magazines, I got the Vogue India and Harper's Bazaar India. 

Now to Books. I got 'Those Pricey Thakur Girls', 'And the Mountains Echoed' and 'Lost and Found in India'.'

Haul-a-thon Week - II - Fab India, BBW, Real Techniques, etc

We are doing Haul-a-thon this week, see the previous haul HERE, in case you missed it. So let's go straight to the good stuff.

I got me some Fab India skin care. I bought an almond and walnut face scrub, vitamin E face cream, avocado body butter, orange and cinnamon body scrub, lavender relaxing balm, rose facial water and lemongrass face mist.

Now to some makeup and nails, I bought a Colorbar nail polish in 'Turquoise', Models Own nail polish in 'Golden Shore'*, Colorbar liquid eyeliner, Accessorize mascara* and Lakme eyeconic eye pencil.

Finally the long awaited Real Techniques blush brush*, have been after this since a while, Aroma Magic eye cream and gel.

Some Bath and Body Works goodies - A fragrance mist 'Twilight Woods'* and a body lotion 'P.S. I love you'*

Haul-a-thon Week I - Duty Free haul

Hi everyone, 

As mentioned in my previous post, it is Haul-a-thon time this week at The Vanity Bag Diaries.

This post features my duty free haul from the Changi airport. So I really tried to be a good girl and spent less on makeup and a bit more on skincare ;)

I have been wanting to try Origins since a while now and this is what I bought from the brand, Origins 'A perfect world moisturizer', 'GinZing eye cream', 'Clear Improvement Charcoal mask'.

N now to  some makeup n bits ..
I am no longer an OPI Virgin :). Maybelline Rocket Mascara was one of those counter purchases.. Estee Lauder Pleasures has always been on my wishlist ..

From OPI, I bought Original Nail Envy, Rapid Dry Coat and Pink Flamenco (swatched HERE).I have tried all three n I must say I am a fan :)..

I did not buy much makeup, as I usually go crazy, keep hoarding and am unable to use it all and it pains me to see them go wasted .. so anyways this is the star product that I treated myself to ..*drumroll* YSL Rouge Pur Couture number 4 .. A haul cannot be complete without a luxe lipstick :)

HAUL - Myntra.com !

As most of you know I am holidaying in India currently, spending time with my friends and family. 

I was approached by Myntra.com, India's largest online Fashion Store, to shop some beauty products from their website. How could I say no ? I love me some shopping :)

I gotta say I was impressed by their shipping, my order was delivered in 3 days. 

I took a lot of time deciding and finally this is what I ordered. 

MYNTRA HAUL

1. Maybelline The Collossal Kajal - From what I recollect, I don't think I have seen this kajal in Australia, I have read a lot of good reviews of this on Indian beauty blogs and have been wanting to try this. 
2. Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara - Lakme had raised the Eyeconic range a while back, my eye lashes are poker straight, so I thought of giving this curling Mascara a go. Let's see if it does any wonders :)
3. Maybelline Super Stay 14 HR Lipstick in 'Eternal Rose' - This is again a range that I have been wanting to try since a while. I got 'Eternal Rose', which is a beautiful bright pink. 
4. Lakme Kajal - If you are a regular reader of my blog, you must have noticed that I am a huge fan of heavily lining my eyes with kajal. Lakme, is the brand that I fondly remember and associate my makeup journey with. So when I saw this kajal, I got all nostalgic and bought this. 

I will be reviewing  these as and on I try and test them. 

As mentioned, these products were gifted to me by Myntra . Lakme is an Indian cosmetics brand owned by Unilever.

Random Haul (Books, Jewelry, Cosmetics) !!

Last time I had lots of haul posts on my blog when I was back from my US Vacation. Now I am in a hauling mode again as my birthday is coming and I am treating myself and also forcing the husband to treat me .. Anyways, moving on with the post, hope you enjoy the haul..

I have read all Sophie Kinsella books and when I saw this book 'Wedding Night', I just had to buy it ..  This book 'Red Carpet Burns' also caught my fancy and I can't wait to read both the books ..

I bought this adorable Chi Chi Macaroons Bath Bomb set, well who doesn't love a hot bath in cold wintery days ?

The other random things that I bought are, Vanilla Addict Natural Lip Balm, Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots', Rimmel Scandaleyes liner in 'Bright Blue', super cute rose gold owl studs and the foam Makeup remover from Dove, have heard lots of good things about this, so real excited to try this ..

Look what I got !! YAY!!

Finally I have it, the mother of all makeup removers !! If you are a beauty lover, then you must probably, already be aware of all the hype surrounding this product. Everyone seems to love it and am only hoping that It sweeps me off my feet :) ..Only a while back I came to know that this is sold in some stores in Sydney and you can click HERE too see the stores that stock Bioderma. I got this from a Pharmacy in the Greenwood Plaza in North Sydney.

Will review it sometime in future and probably compare it with the other removers that I have been using all this time ..
