NOTD - Neon Yellow and Black Mani

Today's Mani is a black crackle mani over BYS Neons in 'The Right Bright'. I originally bought this nail polish for my DIY Neon Necklace. If you haven't checked that DIY, you should most certainly click HERE. 

I wasn't sure about whether the Mister 'The Right Bright' would be right for me.. Its a beautiful neon yellow shade but is quite sheer even with three coats. I would have enjoyed wearing it on its own, had it been opaque. So after donning three coats of 'The Right Bright', this what I turned my mani into ..

EOTD - Wearable Coral Eyes for this Spring/Summer

I love wearing coral on my cheeks and lips for spring/summer and this time around for my eyes too :). In today's post I am featuring wearable coral eyes (for me they sure are :)) . Hope you like the look n enjoy :)

• Urban Decay primer potion in 'Original'
• BYS blush in 'Coral' marked '1' in the above pic as my all over lid shade
• Urban decay shimmery brown shadow 'Lost' marked '2' in the above pic as the crease shade
• Urban Decay 'Skimp' as my highlight shade, marked as '3' in the above pic
• Maybelline gel eyeliner in 'Brown'
• Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencil in 'Perversion'
• Sigma brushes E05, E25, E40 & MAC 217
• Maybelline The Collosal Volume express mascara
  

How to :

• Prime your lids
• Apply the coral shade (blush in this case) all over your lid and blend
• Apply the shimmery brown shadow on your crease and take it above the crease as well
• Highlight your brow bone and blend it with the crease color
• Line your eyes with a brown gel liner. I used brown to give it a less harsh look
• Rim your lower lashline with black pencil 
• Curl your lashes and apply mascara over your top n bottom lashes 
• N you are done :)

A. Elle 18 nail polishes (less than a dollar)- fun shades and fun packaging , whats not to
love at this price :)

A. Chanel products that I recently splurged on (featured in my Duty free haul before)
Recently I have developed this fancy over Chanel makeup

Q. Which beauty product you have love and hate relationship with? Name it.

A. BYS Blush in Coral - I love it because it is affordable and really pigmented but I hate it 
cos I can't stand the smell 

Q. What is your most delicious beauty product?

A. Garnier Intensive 7 days Lotion  in Honey - I do not have many delicious smelling products, this is the most delicious of the lot. I love the subtle smell of honey (Reviewed here)

Q. Which product do you neglect due to laziness?

A. Mascara - Only Mascara doesn't do a thing for my eyes (it rather makes them straight) so I 
find it too much of a task to curl and apply mascara , so I usually only curl my lashes

A. Lipsticks - bold coral lippies atm

Swatches from the previous HAUL post and a quick EOTD

I have swatches from my haul in the previous post.

I got the L'oreal lipsticks for a total bargain and I love both the shades. L'oreal Colour Riche in Pink Lady is a muted pink shade, perfect for day wear and I like to top this up with the L'oreal Lip Gloss in Always Pink. L'oreal Color Riche in After Glow, to me is a perfect MLBB shade. This is a very pretty peachy brown shade and I see myself getting good use of it. I am not sure if these shades are now sold or not in the regular Colour Riche range, as I got these from DFO (as mentioned in my previous post). I got Revlon Color Burst in Peony and Orchid.

I was always a pink girl and was never into peaches, but now I have this sudden fancy over everything peach and hence the need to buy Revlon Peony (gloss) and BYS Coral (blush) is totally justified. Both of them are pretty peachy, while Revlon Peony is a sheer peach with subtle golden shimmer, BYS Coral is a super pigmented peach blush though I dislike the sweet smell it has. Revlon Orchid is a pinky lilac shade. So now the swatches, enjoy !!

Quick EOTD using Flashback Silver on my lids and Hourgalss Beige as a highlight

The EOTD was actually a very quick one, without primer, mascara and concealer or you can say I just slathered the color on to my lids ha ha :) I was rushing for a dinner date .. and these pics are around 3 hours after applying the makeup. This was applied with fingers. The Lovely Lilit from Makeup and Macroons had done a detailed post on these along with a fab EOTD have a look here .

Have you guys tried L'oreal Colour Riche or Revlon Corlor Burst ? What do you think of them ? Have you bought any of the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows ? Which are your favorite colors ?

Mini BYS haul and my first tan flats !! *pic heavy*

I did a mini BYS haul .. have been wanting to buy an inexpensive neutral palette since a while .. This caught my eye while browsing through the makeup section at Kmart & I thought of giving it a go.
Its a palette with colors ranging from browns to golds to bronzes as you can see and has a pretty smooth texture to it, considering the price of the palette. You can do a every day neutral look or a golden smokey or a bronze smokey look with it ..I bought this for AUD 6.50 and the top coat for AUD 4.

My tan flats :)

I bought these flats from Target for under $15 (what a steal !) .. I fell in love with the floral sole and the detailing on the front part. Its super comfy n cushiony too. Love, love them :)

I was going for shopping and just some wanted to do something quick and colorful for my eyes without doing much .. so here is the quick and fun look using only eyeliner pencils ..

BYS Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Ocean Green

I just happen to buy this the other day so that I could try the BYS range and to add another color to my eye pencil collection. This is my first for BYS cosmetics. I have heard good things about BYS products, but this particular product definitely did not work for me. I have not tried anything else except the eyeliner pencil as of yet.

This is hardly pigmented and smudges easily. This should probably work well for a smokey look, to add a pop of color. In the pic above, I had to reapply it several times to show the color it is supposed to be (but still it is not as pigmented as I would have wanted it to be). The quality is still okay for the price, it is definitely not a dry application like some eyeliners. I also like the color but don't think I would be repurchasing BYS eye pencils, but will try out their other products.

This retails for AUD 4.50. BYS is an Australian brand known to provide good value for money cosmetics. They are sold in selected stores and also online on Fashion addict
