Manicure Monday - Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Spice Age

Today's post is a Manicure Monday featuring Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polish in Spice Age.

Spice Age is a beautiful rich chocolate brown colour with gold shimmer. The shimmer is not as obvious on the nails as in the tube. The colour shows opaque in two coats.   

I am usually not inclined towards brown colors but I surprisingly like this color on my nails and is perfect for the colder months.

Most companies have launched their gel polishes which are long lasting and do not require a UV/LED light to cure the polish and can be removed like a regular polish . 
 
Sally Hansen Miracle gel* is based on the same lines and is a 2 step system, apply the base coat and top it with the top coat. These polishes are supposed to give a wear time up to 14 days.

I have tried the gel formula previously from the Revlon range but did not have their top coat so could not test it for longevity properly.

The Autumn/Winter Polish !

I don't necessarily change up my makeup or nail choices based on the season but if I had to, today's post, features the nail polishes I would pick. 

Clockwise (from top) - Chanel April, Essie Really Red, Covergirl Midnight Magic, Maybelline Blue Freeze, Sportsgirl Bossy Boots

Chanel April - Chanel April is a muted red shade which is perfect for the current season. Its a beautiful color with great pigmentation and texture. 

Essie Really Red - I love a good red all year round. Essie Really Red is a classic bright red. I love sporting red during Christmas as its so festive. 

Covergirl Midnight Magic - A good choice for winters is grey. Midnight Magic is a dark grey with multi colored shimmer. Its a pretty shimmery shades perfect for winter night outs. 

Maybelline Blue Freeze - I love a good navy in winters. Blue Freeze is a metallic navy blue with subtle shimmer which is not visible once applied. 

Sportsgirl Bossy Boots - I love purple nail polishes. I love Sportsgirl polishes, good quality and choices. Bossy Boots is a gorgeous creamy pigmented purple. Love wearing this on my toes as well.

Manicure Monday - Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis Vendome Emerald & Sequin Explosion !

This Manicure Monday features Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis in Vendome Emerald & Sequin Explosion. 

Loreal Vendome Emerald is a beautiful creamy green. I am not sure which category of green it fits into, though it is not emerald in my opinion. Its a beautiful formula and goes almost opaque in one coat. If you are a regular reader of my blog, you must be knowing I am a huge fan of this range. I love the big round brush, which makes for a quick and easy application. I love the mini size too.

Sequin Explosion is a gorgeous multicolored, multi shaped glitter. I wasn't able to capture the beauty of this polish in the pic properly. If you are a fan of glitter you need it in your life. It is so damn pretty and is perfect for accent nails or layering over other polishes.

Manicure Monday - Revlon Color Stay Gel Envy Wild Card (440)

This Manicure Monday features Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in 'Wild  Card'. Its a beautiful bright blue color. I have been wanting to try a gel nail polish from the drugstore and I bought this one from Revlon in the Priceline 40% off sale. 

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how absolutely stunning this color is. Apart from the pinks and the reds, I am really drawn towards blues and purples and well thats how I landed with this color. 

This goes on opaque in two coats. I am wearing a normal top coat with this. Just a background story - I asked the Priceline SA if I could use a normal top coat and if the Revlon gel top coat was anything special in terms of longevity and she suggested a normal top coat would work just as fine. So, I decided no to spend my money on the top coat. 

This polish lasted on me chip free for 4 days. I had to change my nail polish after that so I don't know the exact longevity of these. 

Overall I was really happy with the formula and would suggest trying these. But pick this up in sale as polishes are so incredibly expensive in Australia.

Following up with my last post of Spring/Summer Bright Lipstick Picks, in today's post I share with you 'My Spring/Summer Nail Polish Picks'. 

Essie Enuff is Enuff - This has to be my favorite of the lot. Enuff is Enuff is a beautiful coral shade. I have worn this loads this season. I love this shade so much that I may even repurchase it. Looks great against my skintone. Manicure Monday post HERE

 

Sportsgirl Nail It in Speckled Mint - This is the only mint  nail polish I have. Its a mint color with some added multi colored glitters, which adds so much fun to this polish. Manicure Monday post HERE

Chi Chi Capital Him - Capital him is a beautiful bright purple color. I love wearing this when I want to take a break from usual pinks and reds. Manicure Monday HERE

OPI Pink Flamenco - Pink Flamenco is a bright magenta color. This nail polish is a great creamy formula. Absolutely worth the price. Manicure Monday HERE

Scout Cosmetics Steal My Sunshine* - For me, this color is summer in a bottle. Its a bright orange color almost leaning towards neon, perfect for summer. This is Five Free nail polish. Manicure Monday HERE

Manicure Monday - Green and Gold !

This Manicure Monday features Loreal Color Riche in '612 Green Couture' with some gold accent. As you can see I have been dabbling with the nail art pen, well its more of some scribbled over lines than art :)

612 Green Couture is a beautiful, bright, creamy green color. I love how this green and gold look together. I love this Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis range and have Rebel Blue, Luxembourg Gardens, Femme Fatale, Scarlet Vamp and Mysterious Icon in my stash. 

They are pretty affordable and I love that they have a big brush which is so easy and fast to apply.

I also love that these are not huge polishes and come at a decent price. If you are into green colors, I would say give this a go or any other shade from this range.

Manicure Monday - Scout Cosmetics 'Steal my Sunshine' and Review

Hi guys, 

I am back from my holiday in India. I spent good five weeks with my family and friends. Had a fun filled holiday with good food and lots of shopping. I am getting back into my blogging routine and am hoping to get back to posting 2-3 times a week. 

Today's post bring to you a nice n bright manicure featuring Scout Cosmetics 'Steal my Sunshine'*.

Scout Cosmetics is an Australian brand offering highly luxurious, natural and safe cosmetics, skincare, haircare products and 5 free nail polishes. Their products are made in  Australia.

'Steal my sunshine', is a beautiful bright, neony orange color, perfect for adding a pop of color. The polish was a nice, creamy texture and applied smoothly. I am wearing two coats and a top coat in the pic. 

I loved the packaging, it is simple and sleek. The best part is that these are 5 free nail polishes, which means they are free from harmful chemicals like Formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor or Parabens. They come in a huge range of colors.

Overall, I really liked the nail polish and the formula. The only con is, it is very pricey.

Manicure Monday - Essie Enuf is Enuf

This Manicure Monday features Essie 'Enuf is Enuff'. 

'Enuf is Enuf' is a pretty reddish coral color. It is perfect for adding a bright pop of color. 

It has a creamy texture, that shows opaque in two coats. It is a beautiful bright summery color and I have been enjoying wearing this color past few weeks. 

In the pics, it looks more of a pinky coral, though in reality it is more of a red-orange color. The polish is nicely pigmented and easy to apply.

It is a nice bright coral color to have, if you are looking for one. Which are your favorite coral polishes ?

Manicure Monday - Shades of Blue and Purple

This Manicure Monday features Shades of Blue and Purple, two of my favorite colours. We are playing with Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots' and Maybelline Color Show in 'Blue Freeze'. 

I have done a Shades of Blue and a Shades of Purple mani before featuring these nail polishes if you are interested.

Sportsgirl Bossy Boots is a gorgeous creamy purple which is opaque in two coats. Maybelline Blue Freeze is a metallic blue with shimmer,which is not much evident when applied.

Manicure Monday - Covergirl Outlast Midnight Magic

This Manicure Monday features Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant in 'Midnight Magic'. 

Midnight Magic is a complex shade with oodles of dimension. It is a dark grey color with with gold, blue, green shimmer. Some times I can even notice pink shimmer.

These pictures have been taken in natural daylight .I was not able to capture the swatches true to the color. 

But you have to trust me its a beautiful color. 

 
From far, it may look like a plain boring grey color, but up close it looks like a grey base with a dusting of greenish gold shimmers. Ahhh ! its a super stunning .. I would say Google for more swatches and decide..

When you move your hand the different color shimmers peek through as if they are playing hide and seek  :)

Manicure Monday - Chanel 'April' revisited

This Manicure Monday features Chanel April as the base and accent nails and tips using Essence Sneezy.

I absolutely love Chanel April. This is the only Chanel polish I own. I love the texture, the packaging, the application and the brush OMG, its a fault free brush .. See the Chanel April previous mani HERE.
 

Essence Sneezy is a gorgeos brown color with subtle silver glitter. Its a nice creamy texture. Check the Essence Sneezy previous mani HERE.

Manicure Monday - Sinful Colors 'Feeling Great'

This Manicure Monday features 'Feeling Great' from Sinful Colors. This came in my Lust Have It box that I won in a giveaway. 

Feeling Great is a bright pink rosy color, perfect for summers.  This is my first time using Sinful Colors and I pretty much liked this one. 

This polish is a nice creamy texture and showed opaque in two coats. 

  
The polish is more of deeper fuchsia as compared to  the pics. 

I am wearing two coats with a top coat. I have been loving wearing bright pinks lately. Have been wearing OPI Pink Flamenco and Feeling Great on rotation.

Manicure Monday - Colorbar in 'Turquoise'

This Monday's Manicure features Colorbar nail lacquer in 'Turquoise'. 

It is a stunning turquoise color. I am wearing 3 coats and it gives opaque coverage. I am used to wider brushes, so did not like the brush.

Quality wise, I was not very impressed, my nail polish chipped the next day, but the reason may be I did a lot of housework.

I really tried  capturing the true colour but failed. In the pics, the polish looks too blue, in reality its a very true n beautiful turquoise..

I really like the Colorbar brand and am a fan of lots of their products. Colorbar is one of India's popular brands and is a hit with the Indian bloggers. It is not available in Australia. 

Manicure Monday - FOA Glitterati in Boogie Wonderland

This Manicure Monday is showcasing my love for glitter polishes following the previous manicure. 
I love glitter nail polishes, but they are such a pain at removing, that I usually don't venture in a full on glitter mani and happily don them as accent nails.

However, for a change, today we have a full on fun, bling - bling, colorful glitter manicure featuring Face of Australia 'Boogie Wonderland' from the Glitterati Limited Edition. 

3 coats with a top coat

'Boogie Wonderland' is a milky base loaded with glitter. It has multi colored hexa and bar glitters. I don't like my nails being see through the polish and this is such a light base, so I I applied three coats on my nails and top coat.

The polish has lots of glitter, so placing the glitter all over nails wasn't a big deal. The bar glitters stick out a bit and may cling to your clothes and hair, but its no biggie as the polish is so gorgeous ans is worth a bit of trouble. This is the only one I have tried from this range and I am loving it.

Manicure Monday - Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Speckled Mint'

Lo and Behold, my crazy obsession for polishes continues, to the extent that the husband has also noticed ;) . Thanks to my obsession, we are nailing it today, with Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Speckled Mint'. I believe this is a new release by Sportsgirl, they also have the twin sister of this in lilac called 'Speckled Lilac'.

This is my first mint polish and OMG I freaking love it. It has so much dimension to it, all sorts and sizes of gorgeous little glitters, I can spot red, blue, green, gold, silver and pink and purple speckles.

I kept n kept battling with the shopaholic devil in me, but she took advantage and I walked out with this beauty. 
 

I have no regrets, happy adding this to my collection. The pictures are with three coats and no top coat.

I love Sportsgirl polishes. This one is bit runny in texture, not sure how long this will last as this is my first time wearing this, but will keep you posted. Click HERE to check more of Sportsgirl NAIL IT in action.

Manicure Monday - Neutrals - Ulta3 Earl Grey

This Monday's Manicure is a neutral mani. I am wearing Ulta3 'Earl Grey'. I just happened to pick this randomly from Target at sale, as I had a lot of brights and I was looking for some neutral shades. Ulta 3 makes fine quality affordable  polishes.

'Earl Grey' is definitely a warm toned grey. It is a complex shade, leaning towards taupe, grey and brown. 
I have previously done a dotty manicure with this. Check it out HERE. I like this color a lot, its a beautiful neutral that will go with everything, though am not entirely sure if it looks good on my skintone.

Manicure Monday - Shades of Purple with a touch of glitter !

This Manicure Monday brings to you 'Shades of Purple', with a touch of glitter. I have used Chi Chi 'Capital Him', the light purple, Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots', the dark purple and an accent nail in Sally Hansen 'Big Money'. 

I love blue and purple nail polishes, I am also a fan of purple and blue eyshadows.. Maybe I should do a purple EOTD sometime..Anyways, here are some pics of the mani..

I have used Sportsgirl polishes in the past and have always been impressed by them. Am using Chi Chi and Sally Hansen glitter for the first time, so far, so good, lets see how they wear..
