Manicure Monday - Neutrals - Ulta3 Earl Grey

This Monday's Manicure is a neutral mani. I am wearing Ulta3 'Earl Grey'. I just happened to pick this randomly from Target at sale, as I had a lot of brights and I was looking for some neutral shades. Ulta 3 makes fine quality affordable  polishes.

'Earl Grey' is definitely a warm toned grey. It is a complex shade, leaning towards taupe, grey and brown. 
I have previously done a dotty manicure with this. Check it out HERE. I like this color a lot, its a beautiful neutral that will go with everything, though am not entirely sure if it looks good on my skintone.

NOTD - DIY Matte Nails (Inspired)

Today's post is a fun mani, of glossy and matte nails..
This DIY is inspired by a youtube video by Michelle Phan.. I loved the video and thought of giving it a go ..
Its a simple and quick DIY, if you are fancying matte nails .. I am hoping you can see the difference in the pics .. I am wearing it glossy on my index finger and ring finger and matte on the others ..

How To 

• Apply the nail polish of your choice
• Boil water in a pot 
• Place your hand over steam for a couple of mins while your polish is still wet 
• That's it, your polish should dry matte :)

NOTD - Ulta3 Nail polish in 'Black Satin'

Today I have a mani post in Ulta3 'Black Satin'. I was never drawn towards black nail polishes, I liked them on others, but somehow I never wanted to try them on me, finally I gave in and I must say I am totally in love. I find black nail polish as powerful and sexy as red, am just loving them right now :). 

Anyways, Ulta3 'Black Satin' is  a classic black. Ulta3 polishes are smooth in applying, they have great texture and are really affordable, so what's not to love. This is two coats and a top coat. I have done an accent nail in Sportsgirl 100s and 1000s. I have previously done a dotty manicure with Ulta3 polishes, check HERE.

NOTD - Polka dots - Dotticure

One look at this mani post and you will know for sure that am so hopeless when it comes to Nail Art and that too the easiest one - Dotticure. I saw this lovely dotty post on Vita's blog Making up 4 my age and really wanted to give it a go ..

So I tried with these ulta3 nail polishes that I recently bought, as you can see it is all uneven and random. It turned out pretty funny but nonetheless I thought of sharing this with you as I enjoyed sporting something different on my nails for a change than the usual solid colors ..
