The Autumn/Winter Polish !

I don't necessarily change up my makeup or nail choices based on the season but if I had to, today's post, features the nail polishes I would pick. 

Clockwise (from top) - Chanel April, Essie Really Red, Covergirl Midnight Magic, Maybelline Blue Freeze, Sportsgirl Bossy Boots

Chanel April - Chanel April is a muted red shade which is perfect for the current season. Its a beautiful color with great pigmentation and texture. 

Essie Really Red - I love a good red all year round. Essie Really Red is a classic bright red. I love sporting red during Christmas as its so festive. 

Covergirl Midnight Magic - A good choice for winters is grey. Midnight Magic is a dark grey with multi colored shimmer. Its a pretty shimmery shades perfect for winter night outs. 

Maybelline Blue Freeze - I love a good navy in winters. Blue Freeze is a metallic navy blue with subtle shimmer which is not visible once applied. 

Sportsgirl Bossy Boots - I love purple nail polishes. I love Sportsgirl polishes, good quality and choices. Bossy Boots is a gorgeous creamy pigmented purple. Love wearing this on my toes as well.

My Spring/Summer Nail Polish Picks

Following up with my last post of Spring/Summer Bright Lipstick Picks, in today's post I share with you 'My Spring/Summer Nail Polish Picks'. 

Essie Enuff is Enuff - This has to be my favorite of the lot. Enuff is Enuff is a beautiful coral shade. I have worn this loads this season. I love this shade so much that I may even repurchase it. Looks great against my skintone. Manicure Monday post HERE

 

Sportsgirl Nail It in Speckled Mint - This is the only mint  nail polish I have. Its a mint color with some added multi colored glitters, which adds so much fun to this polish. Manicure Monday post HERE

Chi Chi Capital Him - Capital him is a beautiful bright purple color. I love wearing this when I want to take a break from usual pinks and reds. Manicure Monday HERE

OPI Pink Flamenco - Pink Flamenco is a bright magenta color. This nail polish is a great creamy formula. Absolutely worth the price. Manicure Monday HERE

Scout Cosmetics Steal My Sunshine* - For me, this color is summer in a bottle. Its a bright orange color almost leaning towards neon, perfect for summer. This is Five Free nail polish. Manicure Monday HERE

Manicure Monday - French Cream and Purples !

This Manicure Monday features purple french manicure. 

I bought the Manicare 'Perfect French Tip Tapes' from Priceline a while back, tried them, failed and forgot about them, but then I stumbled upon them while cleaning and tried them again. 

Let me know what you think about them.

I have used Chi Chi 'Capital Him' as my base, Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots' as my french tip and Fing'rs nail polish* (no name on it) as my accent nail. I love how the Fing'rs cream shade looks as an accent nail.

The Manicare 'Perfect French Tip Tapes' are a quick and easy way to do a french manicure at home compared to doing a free hand tip. 

One big tip for using them is, make sure your nail polish is completely dry otherwise you will end up ruining your mani, which is exactly what happened when I used these the first time. This time I used them the next day after applying my nail polish to be super safe :)

If you are not comfortable doing a french mani free hand, give these tapes a go.

Manicure Monday - Shades of Blue and Purple

This Manicure Monday features Shades of Blue and Purple, two of my favorite colours. We are playing with Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots' and Maybelline Color Show in 'Blue Freeze'. 

I have done a Shades of Blue and a Shades of Purple mani before featuring these nail polishes if you are interested.

Sportsgirl Bossy Boots is a gorgeous creamy purple which is opaque in two coats. Maybelline Blue Freeze is a metallic blue with shimmer,which is not much evident when applied.

Manicure Monday - Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Speckled Mint'

Lo and Behold, my crazy obsession for polishes continues, to the extent that the husband has also noticed ;) . Thanks to my obsession, we are nailing it today, with Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Speckled Mint'. I believe this is a new release by Sportsgirl, they also have the twin sister of this in lilac called 'Speckled Lilac'.

This is my first mint polish and OMG I freaking love it. It has so much dimension to it, all sorts and sizes of gorgeous little glitters, I can spot red, blue, green, gold, silver and pink and purple speckles.

I kept n kept battling with the shopaholic devil in me, but she took advantage and I walked out with this beauty. 
 

I have no regrets, happy adding this to my collection. The pictures are with three coats and no top coat.

I love Sportsgirl polishes. This one is bit runny in texture, not sure how long this will last as this is my first time wearing this, but will keep you posted. Click HERE to check more of Sportsgirl NAIL IT in action.

Manicure Monday - Essence Sneezy and Sportsgirl Bossy Boots

I have been recently obsessed with nail polish and so will u have noticed from my recent Manicure Monday posts.I am hopeless when it comes to nail art stuff, and am gradually trying to experiment a bit and try the easy ones :) 

So this is, what I was sporting last week and was quite happy with how it turned out :) Not sure though what this mani is called, its probably a twist on the French Manicure. 

I wore Essence 'Sneezy' from the limited edition Snow White collection, as my base color and did the 'V' with Sportsgirl 'Bossy Boots'.

Sneezy, is a gorgeous brown color, though it does not look that good on my skin tone. Bossy Boots is a fave, its a bluish purple color, featured here and here before.

Hope you liked the manicure. BTW, I am obsessed with knuckle rings, in case you are curious, these are from Diva.

Manicure Monday - Shades of Purple with a touch of glitter !

This Manicure Monday brings to you 'Shades of Purple', with a touch of glitter. I have used Chi Chi 'Capital Him', the light purple, Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots', the dark purple and an accent nail in Sally Hansen 'Big Money'. 

I love blue and purple nail polishes, I am also a fan of purple and blue eyshadows.. Maybe I should do a purple EOTD sometime..Anyways, here are some pics of the mani..

I have used Sportsgirl polishes in the past and have always been impressed by them. Am using Chi Chi and Sally Hansen glitter for the first time, so far, so good, lets see how they wear..

NOTD - Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots'

Today's post is Sportsgirl NOTD post in 'Bossy Boots' with accent nail of Sports girl '100s and 1000s' featured HERE before. Bossy Boots is a gorgeous creamy purple shade. You must have seen 'Bossy Boots' featured in my HAUL previously, I bought it from Sportsgirl clearance. 

It has a fantastic creamy texture, lovely to apply, goes opaque in two coats. The mani fared well for 4-5 days with minimal chipping (with no top coat). Overall, I am very happy with this polish.

Random Haul (Books, Jewelry, Cosmetics) !!

Last time I had lots of haul posts on my blog when I was back from my US Vacation. Now I am in a hauling mode again as my birthday is coming and I am treating myself and also forcing the husband to treat me .. Anyways, moving on with the post, hope you enjoy the haul..

I have read all Sophie Kinsella books and when I saw this book 'Wedding Night', I just had to buy it ..  This book 'Red Carpet Burns' also caught my fancy and I can't wait to read both the books ..

I bought this adorable Chi Chi Macaroons Bath Bomb set, well who doesn't love a hot bath in cold wintery days ?

The other random things that I bought are, Vanilla Addict Natural Lip Balm, Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Bossy Boots', Rimmel Scandaleyes liner in 'Bright Blue', super cute rose gold owl studs and the foam Makeup remover from Dove, have heard lots of good things about this, so real excited to try this ..

NOTD - Sportsgirl Nail It in 'Atlantis'

I had my office Christmas party last Friday and the theme was 'Touch of Green'. This is what I decided to wear as my touch of green, apart from a green eyeliner..Saw this gorgeous green, turquoise and gold glitter nail polish at Sportsgirl and fell in love with it .. Its so beautiful, sparkly and festive ...just so perfect for this season .. I love Sportsgirl glitter polishes .. Also featured one HERE before.

NOTD - Ulta3 Nail polish in 'Black Satin'

Today I have a mani post in Ulta3 'Black Satin'. I was never drawn towards black nail polishes, I liked them on others, but somehow I never wanted to try them on me, finally I gave in and I must say I am totally in love. I find black nail polish as powerful and sexy as red, am just loving them right now :). 

Anyways, Ulta3 'Black Satin' is  a classic black. Ulta3 polishes are smooth in applying, they have great texture and are really affordable, so what's not to love. This is two coats and a top coat. I have done an accent nail in Sportsgirl 100s and 1000s. I have previously done a dotty manicure with Ulta3 polishes, check HERE.

My Karwa Chauth Celebrations & NOTD

Friday was Karwa Chauth, n I wanted to share this with all of you.
For my readers that do not know Karwa Chauth, it is one of the biggest festivals, celebrated by married women mainly across North India. The women fast (no food, no water) all day for their husband's long life and only end the fast after seeing the moon n then the husband ..If you want to read more, click HERE.

I celebrated this with my friends, did Pooja (prayer) and had our final meal together, was a great day :) Here are some pics of my henna/mehndi and my mani..

I am wearing Maybelline 'Cherry' (also swatched HERE) on my nails with an accent nail in Sportsgirl glitter Nail It in '100's and 1000's'. This mehndi though very simple and fuss free is by far my best mehndi ever and is most special to me, cos my husband did my mehndi this time :)..
