The Bold Lip and Cheek Duo !

It can be bit of a struggle sometimes to choose a blush with bold/bright lipsticks. In today's post I will be sharing 
my current favorite bold lip and cheek duo.

I love everything about  this lipstick, from the formula, the colour, the staying power to the packaging. The long lasting capabilities of this lipstick and how comfortable it is on the lips, definitely calls for it to be worn for a night out. I have been enjoying pairing this with Mac Blushbaby blush. It is a neutral blush with a perfect amount of pink which looks beautiful with this lip color. FOTD HERE

Mac Ruby Woo with Tarte Exposed
MAC Ruby woo is a full on pigmented red lipstick. As powerful and bold red lipsticks can be, blush choice definitely becomes difficult.  With this red lip, I have been enjoying Tarte Exposed blush, it is a perfect neutral blush,  which will look good with any bold lipstick.

Rave Review - MAC Blushbaby

You can't judge a book by its cover, definitely holds good for MAC Blushbaby.. MAC Blushbaby looks like nothing on the pan but looks beautiful on the cheeks. From my recent 'Loving now' post, you must be knowing that I have been loving neutral blushes lately ..  

MAC Blushbaby is a sheertone blush. Its described as a beige pink colour, but on my cheeks it transforms to a gorgeous dusty rose pink colour .. its a stunning natural blush and this is one shade that I would definitely like to repurchase as its very flattering ..

• Silky, Smooth texture, easy to blend 
• Sheer finish, but builds up quickly 
• Easy to wear, everyday shade, goes with everything

• You may not like it if you are fond of pigmented blushes and do not like sheer blushes

I am loving wearing nude barely there blushes, bright and bold lipsticks, bright and bold necklaces and wearing the gorgeous Dior Amber Diamond Highligter as an eyeshadow.

Today's post is the review of Tarte 12- hour Amazonian Clay Blush in 'Exposed' and a quick comparison with MAC Blushbaby.

Tarte 12- hour Amazonian Clay Blush in 'Exposed'

I am into natural looking, barely there blushes these days, am really enjoying my newly acquired Tarte Exposed & MAC Blushbaby blushes. The below pic is how Tarte exposed looks on me.

On me in different lights

• When swatched, Tarte Exposed and MAC Blushbaby look similar, Tarte Exposed is definitely more plummy and pinker as compared to MAC Blushbaby.
• On my cheeks, MAC Blush baby looks more like a muted dusty rose pink shade and Tarte exposed looks quite natural and more softer in comparison.  
• Both of them are buildable. Both of them are beautiful colors and are perfect for everyday. 
• On my skin tone, Exposed looks more natural and barely there as compared to Blushbaby (looks a gorgeous dusty rose when built up).

The Good

• It does not contain any parabens, petroleum or mineral oils
• Soft texture, easy to blend
• Beautiful everyday color 
• Fuss free shade will go with everything
• Has a mirror inside, good for on the go
• Pretty and sleek packaging 
• Its nice that the packaging matches the product inside, makes it easy to spot
• No fragrance 

The Bad

• Not available in Australia (you can get it from Ebay, I got mine on my US trip)
• Pricey - USD 25
• No brush  (may not be a con for some)
• Does not last for 12 hours on me (last for around 8-10 hours), which is good enough for me
