Empties #13 - Products I have used up !

Empties Time ! Yay !!

I have a big bunch of empties to share this time so lets get to business :)

Haircare
Protane Moroccan Argan Oil - I really enjoyed this hair oil. Its a great deal for the price. Leaves hair feeling  super soft and nourished. Would repurchase it when my current set of hair oils finish.
Girlz Only Dry Shampoo - Girls Dry Shampoo are awesome, I have used up 4 bottles of these. They come for 3 dollars and are very less powdery and blend easily. I have one open in my stash already.
Dove Refresh + Care Volume Dry Shampoo - I am currently using my second bottle of this and have started to enjoy the texture it gives to my hair. Also, love the volume it gives. I wish they get it in Australia soon.
Organix Macadamia Oil Shampoo - I like almost all Organix shampoos, really enjoyed using this but my favorite has to be the Keratin one.
Schwarzkopf Bonacure BC Color Freeze Sulfate Free Shampoo - I got this free with one of my purchases from Myhaircare. This was okay, nothing great. I wont repurchase it.

Skincare

Dirty Works Glow Girl Buttery Salt Scrub* - I really enjoyed the texture and smell of this scrub. Will repurchase but not immediately.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Spray - I have used multiple cans of this. This is one of my favorite sunscreens.
Coconut Revolution Coconut Body Cream - I won this cream in a giveaway. I used it mainly as a hand cream because of the convenient size. This was a light, hydrating cream with a delicious smell.
Olay Complete Defence SPF 30+ - This is a regular feature in my empties post. I have been using this for almost three years. I love it, its my daily AM moisturiser.
Lakme Clean Up Face Wash - I used to regularly use this when I was in India. Love this face wash. It is very refreshing.
Nair Sensitive Precision Hair Removal - This is one of my necessity products. Have used multiples of this.

Makeup , Lips, Nails, etc.

Evodia Vanilla Addict Natural Lip balm - I ended up using this  mainly as a nail cream
Nivea Daily Essentials Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
Kiehls
Coles Nail Polish Remover - I really enjoyed this nail polish remover. It doesn't smell like typical nail polish removers. Will repurchase this.
OPI RapiDry Top Coat - I loved this as long as it lasted. This top coat completely change my life, a bit dramatic but true. It is a really good product, the only negative that it goes bad pretty soon and starts getting all gunky. Not going to repurchase it as I am currently using a top coat from Sally Hansen which I really like.
Maybelline Eye Studio Eyeliner -Didn't like this, not going to repurchase.
Burt's Bees Tinted lip balm in Hibiscus - I loved this. I have recently bought this in Rose fragrance.
Burt's Bees Beeswax lip balm -This was very minty. I enjoyed this in the beginning but had to struggle to finish it. Will not repurchase.

What did you empty recently ?

Manicure Monday - Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis Vendome Emerald & Sequin Explosion !

This Manicure Monday features Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis in Vendome Emerald & Sequin Explosion

Loreal Vendome Emerald is a beautiful creamy green. I am not sure which category of green it fits into, though it is not emerald in my opinion. Its a beautiful formula and goes almost opaque in one coat. If you are a regular reader of my blog, you must be knowing I am a huge fan of this range. I love the big round brush, which makes for a quick and easy application. I love the mini size too.

Sequin Explosion is a gorgeous multicolored, multi shaped glitter. I wasn't able to capture the beauty of this polish in the pic properly. If you are a fan of glitter you need it in your life. It is so damn pretty and is perfect for accent nails or layering over other polishes.

Priceline currently has buy one get one free on Loreal Nails and Lips in case you fancy trying this range. These retail for 7.95 AUD.

The Bold Lip and Cheek Duo !

It can be bit of a struggle sometimes to choose a blush with bold/bright lipsticks. In today's post I will be sharing
my current favorite bold lip and cheek duo.

Clockwise (from top) Tarte Exposed, MAC Ruby Woo, Bourjois Ole Flamingo and MAC Blushbaby

Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition Ole Flamingo with Mac Blushbaby
I love everything about  this lipstick, from the formula, the colour, the staying power to the packaging. The long lasting capabilities of this lipstick and how comfortable it is on the lips, definitely calls for it to be worn for a night out. I have been enjoying pairing this with Mac Blushbaby blush. It is a neutral blush with a perfect amount of pink which looks beautiful with this lip color. FOTD HERE

Mac Ruby Woo with Tarte Exposed
MAC Ruby woo is a full on pigmented red lipstick. As powerful and bold red lipsticks can be, blush choice definitely becomes difficult.  With this red lip, I have been enjoying Tarte Exposed blush, it is a perfect neutral blush,  which will look good with any bold lipstick.

Which is your favorite bold lip and cheek duo ? Any recommendations.

Review - Dirty Works Supreme Cream Body Butter !

If you follow my blog regularly you must be knowing I love body scrubs, however body butters, not so much.
Lets just say I am a bit lazy when it comes to body moisturising department, hence justifying my love for Vaseline spray moisturisers

Anyways, all this background story, because I am reviewing Dirty Works Supreme Cream Body Butter* in today's post, so lets get to it.

What the Company says :
Utterly divine Body Butter with shea butter and sweet almond oil for super soft skin.

Directions :
Massage lightly onto damp skin after showering or bathing

Dirty Works Supreme Body Butter comes in a cute blue tub packaging. The scent, to me is very fresh and beachy, pretty similar to the Dirty Works Glow Girl Buttery Salt Scrub. It is a subtle scent and not crazy strong.

The texture is thick and creamy, but feels light on the skin and absorbs quickly. The body butter hydrates the skin really well and the best is that little will go a long way.

Over all its an awesome, affordable and moisturising body butter. Its a great quality product for the price.

Available at Coles.

Price 9.95 AUD (300ml)

Priceline 40% off Skincare Haul !

Recently Priceline had their 40% off skincare haul and of course I hauled big time ! I stocked on stuff that I use regularly but also bought some exciting stuff to try :) Today's post is just a quick one showing you what I got.

Repurchases

Garnier Clean Sensitive 2 in 1 gentle makeup remover - This is dual phase and my go to makeup remover for mascara and mainly for eye makeup. I just cannot be without it.
Bioderma Crealine H20 - I don't like this as a makeup remover but love it as a cleanser and since it is fairly expensive, sale was a good time to stock up on this.
Burt's Bees tinted lip balm - I love this lip balm, have had this in Hibiscus before, bought this in Rose this time
Vaseline Intensive Care spray moisturiser - There is no secret I love this, this is my third can.
Nivea Soft Hand Cream - This is just a basic, good, affordable hand cream
Biore Pore Strips - not much to talk about, this is just necessary :)
Olay Complete Defence Daily Moisturising lotion SPF 30 - This is my go to AM moisturiser and I always have backups of this

New things to try

Antipodes Minis - I bought both the night and the day minis. I have used the Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing night cream but wanted to try some other stuff from the brand.
Dr. Lewinns 4 Fusion Cleansing oil - I have been wanting to try a cleansing oil since some time now, when I saw Bottled Beauty rave about this, I decided to give this a go.
Nivea lip butter Raspberry Rose - These were so hyped up when they were launched so decided to finally try this
Burt's Bees Lemon Butter cuticle cream - I find Burt's Bees expensive so picked this on sale.
Sanctuary Spa Gentle Polish Body Scrub - Wanted to try some Sanctuary Spa and as I love body scrubs.
Sanctuary Spa Body Moisturise spray - My love for sprays and my laziness got me to buy this
Avene Eau Thermal Spring Water - I love water spray type products and this one is very popular so decided to try this.

What did you buy from the sale ?

Ways to use Nude Eyeliner (Readers Contributed !)

Its no secret that nude eyeliner did not work for me. I did a post about it and a lot of you suggested different ways I could use it.

So, in today's post I share with you different Ways to use a Nude eyeliner and most of it contributed by you !

  • As a waterline eyeliner to make your eyes awake - Well this is the main use of this eyeliner. A white or a nude eyeliner tends to open eyes and makes you look more awake as opposed to a black which tends to close eyes.
  • As an eye shadow base - You can depot it and use it as a base or even in the pencil form you can use this as a base to even out the eyelid area and to make the shadows pop.
  • As an inner corner highlight - Inner corner highlight is another way to open up eyes, to give you the bright eyed effect. A nude or a champagne eyeliner seems to do the trick.
  • As a brow highlight - This is how I have been using my nude eyeliner. I draw a line and then smudge it below my brows to highlight the arch.
  • As a highlight for cupid's bow - You can see its all about highlighting :). Nude eyeliner can be used just to highlight your cupid's bow just as you would use a lighter concealer or highlighter.
  • Eye shadow corrector - If the color matches your skin tone, you can use this to correct any mascara smudges on your lid or eyeliner mistakes .. just as you would use a q tip with makeup remover.
