The Winter Polish #2

I don't always stick to specific color choices in beauty seasonally but these days I have been leaning towards some specific shades for my manicure. So in today's post I am sharing with you the colors that I have been getting the most use of this winter. Check out my previous Winter Polish Edition HERE

Clockwise:

Shimmery
I have been loving shimmery nails recently, in particular, this gorgeous shade from Loreal called Mysterious Icon. Its a beautiful shimmery taupe brown and looks stunning on its own or paired with another polish. While we are on this mani, I must tell you I absolutely adore the shade Scarlet Vamp and love both these polishes together. I gave it away and don't have it anymore but if your love maroons, definitely check it out. Original mani post HERE
 
Navy
I love blue nail polishes and love wearing a beautiful navy in winter. My recent favorite has been "For Sure, Yes !"* from Faby. I love the shade and the formula and love wearing it on my toes too. 

Chocolate Brown
I am not much a brown nail polish wearer but recently I tried Sally Hansen nail polish in Spice Age* and surprisingly love how it looks on me. This is definitely one shade I do not see me wearing in summer. Original mani post HERE

Manicure Monday - Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Spice Age

Today's post is a Manicure Monday featuring Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polish in Spice Age.

Spice Age is a beautiful rich chocolate brown colour with gold shimmer. The shimmer is not as obvious on the nails as in the tube. The colour shows opaque in two coats.   

I am usually not inclined towards brown colors but I surprisingly like this color on my nails and is perfect for the colder months.

Most companies have launched their gel polishes which are long lasting and do not require a UV/LED light to cure the polish and can be removed like a regular polish . 
 
Sally Hansen Miracle gel* is based on the same lines and is a 2 step system, apply the base coat and top it with the top coat. These polishes are supposed to give a wear time up to 14 days.

I have tried the gel formula previously from the Revlon range but did not have their top coat so could not test it for longevity properly.

The Autumn/Winter Polish !

I don't necessarily change up my makeup or nail choices based on the season but if I had to, today's post, features the nail polishes I would pick. 

Clockwise (from top) - Chanel April, Essie Really Red, Covergirl Midnight Magic, Maybelline Blue Freeze, Sportsgirl Bossy Boots

Chanel April - Chanel April is a muted red shade which is perfect for the current season. Its a beautiful color with great pigmentation and texture. 

Essie Really Red - I love a good red all year round. Essie Really Red is a classic bright red. I love sporting red during Christmas as its so festive. 

Covergirl Midnight Magic - A good choice for winters is grey. Midnight Magic is a dark grey with multi colored shimmer. Its a pretty shimmery shades perfect for winter night outs. 

Maybelline Blue Freeze - I love a good navy in winters. Blue Freeze is a metallic navy blue with subtle shimmer which is not visible once applied. 

Sportsgirl Bossy Boots - I love purple nail polishes. I love Sportsgirl polishes, good quality and choices. Bossy Boots is a gorgeous creamy pigmented purple. Love wearing this on my toes as well.
