The SUNDAY Routine - HAIR Edition !

Quite a while back I shared my Weekend Pamper Routine on the blog, which included skincare, haircare and all that stuff. In today's post I am sharing my Sunday Routine, keeping it specific to da hair ! I say routine, but its nothing very elaborate but just a bit more than what I do an a day to day basis.

Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo

I have been wanting to try a gentle clarifying shampoo and decided to give this a go after reading about it on Lily's blog. I like how it makes my hair clean and use it once every week to give my hair a good clean. Though I have to say I do feel that Lush's Big left my hair feeling more squeaky clean as compared to this but it was also more drying in comparison. If you are looking for a
gentle clarifying shampoo, give this a go !

Coconut Oil
I try to apply coconut oil to my hair every alternate week. I warm up the oil a bit and give myself a good head massage. I usually leave it on for 3-4 hours and wash it off with my Sunday Shampoo. I also give myself a hot towel treatment when I apply this oil.

Deep Conditioning Hair masque
I use a deep conditioning hair masque every Sunday. I don't use a masque on the days I have applied coconut oil unless my hair is feeling too dry. Currently I am using John Frieda Full Repair Deep Conditioner* and Bhave Deep Intense Conditioning Masque*. I have been really enjoying both of them. Both make my hair feeling super soft, smooth, and nourished. I love that both of them come in a tube. I feel the Bhave masque is a bit more richer, but my hair loves it as my hair ends have been so dry recently (it is also free from parabens, sulphates and sodium chloride)

What does your weekend hair routine look like ? Have you tried any of these products ? Do you like them ?

*These products were provided for consideration. However, I am not being paid for this post. My reviews and opinions are always honest.

  1. I have never tried coconut oil on my hair. Is this any kind of coconut oil, or this one specifically for hair?? Super interested in trying it out!

    1. This is not specifically for hair, just the general kind. But I have been using extra virgin coconut oil.

  9. You take much better care of your hair than I do, that is for sure! I don't have a specific day that I treat my hair, usually the start of the week like Monday or Tuesday though because I work Sunday's or we're out doing family stuff. I really want to try a clarifying shampoo though!

    1. Ha Ha I am trying to get into it, can't help it was losing hair like crazy, though recently it has been much better or so I think. If you want to try an effective clarifying shampoo I would definitely recommend Lush Big over this.
