Red/Reddish Lipstick Love !

In today's post, I am sharing some of my favorite red and reddish (mostly reddish orange) lipstick loves.

From left to right :

Loreal Paris Infallible 'Refined Ruby' - Refined Ruby by Loreal is one of my favorite lipsticks to wear as it is very long lasting, yet nice and comfortable on the lips. This is, what I go for, when I want a bold low maintenance lipstick. Refined Ruby is a gorgeous deep red shade. Its a creamy formula with a slight sheen to it. Check the lip swatch HERE

Revlon Lip Butter 'Candy Apple' - Candy Apple is a sheer red, leaning towards orange. Revlon lip butters are sheer but can be build up to a pigmented formula. They are creamy, moisturising and comfortable on the lips. Candy Apple is an easy to wear, every day red shade. Check the review HERE

Revlon Super Lustrous 'Paradise Pink' - Paradise Pink is a matte formula by Revlon but feels comfortable on the lips. The formula is not drying. Its a beautiful reddish orange color, definitely leaning towards more orange. Check the review HERE

Revlon Matte Lip Balm 'Striking' - Striking is also another reddish orange shade though it looks more red on my lips than orange. If you are fond of matte lips and chubby crayons, Revlon lip balms are a must try. Check the lip swatch HERE

MAC Ruby Woo - Ruby woo is one of the popular MAC red lipsticks. Its a classic red shade that will always look hot. Its a matte formula and drying as hell in my opinion. This is a bit similar to Refined Ruby, but Refined Ruby is more deeper and Ruby Woo more brighter. Check the lip swatch HERE

  1. I love MAC Russian Red, but I don't wear it very often. Loving the Refined Ruby swatch, might have to seek that one out!

  10. Lovely explanations of colors..I generally opt for muted shades, 'cos I feel red does not suite me. But, would want to try the Madonna color sometime :)

    1. You should definitely try it. I also felt the same way four years ago and gradually started wearing red. I would say buy a red shade that suits you and and mute it down with another color or just wipe it with a tissue and wear it as a stain to get comfy ! Or buy a sheer red, thats a great option to try too !
