Today I am sharing with you the products that are not worth the hype (in my opinion) and did not work for me.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in Nude
I am big fan of these eye liners, I love the black and bright blue but the nude is definitely not for me. I bought this for lining my waterline thinking it would make by eyes look more bright and awake, but this just did not work for me. It makes me look sick, I believe because the color does not suit me. See my post HERE.
MAC Paint Pots
Now don't get me wrong, I love MAC paint pots, because I love cream eye shadows. I have MAC Paint Pot in Painterly, Indianwood and Rubenesque. I love how easy they are to apply. I heard about how fab these are as bases and that they are long lasting and don't crease. One of the main reasons for buying Painterly was to use it as a primer. But that just don't work for me. They crease, and crease pretty fast on me. I usually wear them with a primer and only then I get them to last a bit longer. I love them as cream shadows but I was disappointed in them as a primer ( I know they are technically not primers, but I had huge expectations as I had seen videos and posts mentioning that)
Lush Snow Fairy*
I may get beaten up for this as I know Lush Snow Fairy is quite a popular shower gel (apologies to all the fans out there). It only comes during Christmas and I know people who love this baby, stock it up during that time. I hate the smell. To me it smells like a cough syrup. It is too sickly sweet for me.

Bioderma Crealine H20
I may again get beaten up for this too ! I had seen so many reviews about this being the best ever makeup remover and I expected it to work like magic. This may be a good general makeup remover, but definitely not for waterproof makeup. I do wear waterproof eyeliner. This just takes too long to remove, especially the liner and mascara. By the end of the day, I have no patience to spend so much time doing this. So this just doesn't work for me as a makeup remover, however I love it as a cleanser. See my post HERE, comparing it with my favorite makeup remover.
Lush Grease Lightening
This absolutely did nothing for me. I bought it as I thought being Lush it would relatively be a gentle spot treatment. It did nothing to my pimples, nothing at all.
Have you tried any of these products ? What do you think of them ?

Please note that, I am not saying that these products are bad or anything as such, they just did not work for me. They may totally work for you.

Bioderma is fantastic for base makeup but definitely it does not work on waterproof mascara! try the neutrogena oil free makeup remover..it works very well for heavy eye makeup and removes waterproof makeup as well :)
ReplyDeleteI have tried the Neutrogena one, i liked it, but I love the Garnier one. Have been using it for almost three years now.
DeleteFor me, Bioderma is not the best - Nuxe Micellar Water is. After using it snd Lancome Bifacil, Bioderma felt overhyped to me as well!
ReplyDeleteI haven't used Nuxe Micellar water, would you recommend it as a makeup remover or cleanser ?
DeleteAll of us need to do this kind of posts. I agree, there are also tons of products which had been cult products, yet, did not impress me much.
ReplyDeleteSo true Nivedita :) I was a bit apprehensive about doing it but then again I thought its only fair to do such a post as its important to share products that do not impress us as well :)
DeleteI don't like the nude liner or bioderma either... great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kat :) good to know that somebody didn't like the nude eyeliner, I thought I was the only one :)
DeleteI'm surprised by the paint pots! I've never tried one, but I've heard great things. I'm definitely not veering from my color tattoos now. haha x
ReplyDeleteYeah it was a bummer for me, but they are a great product otherwise, also way softer and smoother than color tattoos :)
