My favorite stores to shop and some Tips

Its no secret that I love to shop and shop not only makeup but other material things too .. In today's post I will be sharing some of my favorite stores to shop at and what I shop from them .. In the end I will also share some tips ..so stay tuned and continue reading ..

Target
Well, what can I say I love Target. I shop a lot from target from clothing, shoes, bedding, kitchen, homeware, organizing stuff, cosmetics, skincare  etc. I am a huge fan of Target clothing. I usually get great deals in sale and clearance. You may think Target is cheap price wise but it isn't (atleast not in Australia), so I shop mostly in sale. I also look at clearance items and you can find a good deal there .. Home stuff I buy from target when they have a 40 % off which they do quite often .. I love their decor stuff too..  

Portmans 
Portmans is one of my favorite brands. I love their collection of dresses. I have bought dresses, belts and blazers from them and I love their fit. Well everything at Portmans is really nice, if you can afford it (again Sale is your best friend). Here is a pic below of a Portmans blazer.

Jacqui e
I haven't bought much from Jacquie .. But I have two dresses that fit really well .. I would recommend Jacquie for work wear. Here is one of the pics of me wearing a Jacquie dress. 

Dotti
I love Dotti for knits and tops.

Kmart
I love Kmart for shoes.. They have insane variety of flats and they are pretty decent quality for the price. 
I also buy stockings from Kmart.
 

Forever New
Clothing not much of a success for me, but I shop mainly jewelry, bags and belts from Forever New. 

Sports girl
Bags, jewellery, nail polishes and random bits.
 

Shoes 
I buy shoes from the below stores

• Rubi shoes 
• Direct Shoe Warehouse
• Novo Shoes
• Sportsgirl
• Kmart

Shopping Tips !

• Always buy on sale unless you are desperate or really really love something.
• Buy only what you love and you are very sure about other wise it will just keep sitting in your wardrobe.
• Buy when sale items are further marked down.
• Don't forget to look at the clearance items.
• Even though I am a big advocate of sale, its really important to remember to not buy something only because it's on sale. Remember you should need it :) or want it ;)
• Do not immediately take the tags out unless you want to wear that piece. Go home, think about it, style it and if you are happy keep it, otherwise return it or exchange it.
• Be subscribed to your favorite stores and this way you can be notified about the offers and sale. 
• Set a budget and try to stick to it. 
• Splurge on basics and save on trendy stuff. Splurge on things that you will get good use of and grab a bargain on trendy pieces. 
• Last but not the least, well, this may not be for everyone, but I love to shop alone. I just shop better when I am alone.

CVS, Ulta, Target & Kiehl's Haul

Incase you don't already know, I am just back from my US vacation and am featuring haul posts this week. Normal blogging will follow soon :)

So following yesterday's HAUL post, today is a drugstore one .. This post features some US brands that are not easily available in Australia like Milani, Wet n Wild, EOS etc and some of my fav drugstore brands Revlon n Maybelline which I just had to buy cos they are so cheap in US. Hope you enjoy the loot :)

I bought four Revlon just bitten kissable balm stains and two Revlon lip butters

I haven't tried the super famous Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes yet, so I bought myself one in 'Exposed'. I wanted to go with a classic one, good for everyday use :)

Bought some Maybelline eye pencils and mascaras and a color tattoo ..

I have been wanting to try the Milani Liquifeye pencils since a while now. Got the Milani blush in Luminoso:)

I got myself a Wet n Wild Eye trio in Silent Treatment  and a blush in Heather Silk

Some random stuff and two Burt's Bees lip  balms n of course I had to get the EOS lip balm :) .. I bought my first essie nail polish in Really Red ..As you must have realized by now, am trying most of these brands for the first time..
 

I bought Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye cream and the Ultra Facial moisturizer (first time trying Kiehl's products)

Bought these adorable BBW pocket sanitizers :), that's all for now ..

Jewelry Storage - My Jewelry Armoire

I wanted to share my jewelry storage with you. For a while I was struggling with organizing my jewelry in one place. I wanted it all together so that I could see it all and decide what to wear ... Seriously out of sight, out of mind for me .. So I bought this Jewelry Armoire this February from Target for 100 $. I believe this should be easily available on ebay. In Australia this is also available at Costco. 

Storage on both left and the right side.

Necklace sections

There are three sections where you can hang your necklaces. Two on the left door and one on the right side of the armoire. The '1' is apt for your long necklaces while at the no '2' you can hang your cuffs or scarves or some more chains .. on '3' - I hang my medium sized necklaces ..

Earrings section

The pic above is where I hang my earrings. As you can see, it is the top most section of the right side of the armoire.

Studs, Rings, Bracelets and random stuff

The pic above shows the bottom section of the right side of the armoire. The top two rows are meant for rings I believe. But I keep my studs in the first row and rings in the second.

Below these are just plain random rows where you can keep anything from bracelets, to watches, to jewelry cleaning cloths, etc.

Mini BYS haul and my first tan flats !! *pic heavy*

I did a mini BYS haul .. have been wanting to buy an inexpensive neutral palette since a while .. This caught my eye while browsing through the makeup section at Kmart & I thought of giving it a go.
Its a palette with colors ranging from browns to golds to bronzes as you can see and has a pretty smooth texture to it, considering the price of the palette. You can do a every day neutral look or a golden smokey or a bronze smokey look with it ..I bought this for AUD 6.50 and the top coat for AUD 4.

I bought these flats from Target for under $15 (what a steal !) .. I fell in love with the floral sole and the detailing on the front part. Its super comfy n cushiony too. Love, love them :)
