Review - Kosmea Rose Collection !

I was recently sent Kosmea's Rose Body collection and I was super excited to try the range as its an Australian natural skincare brand and the range is all about roses.

Kosmea is celebrating Valentine’s Day 2016 with its new sensuous Rose Body Collection - beautifully packaged for 14 February. The range retails for 29.95.

The Rose body collection consists of a body lotion and a hydrating rosewater mist.

If you are a regular reader of my blog you know I love face mists and the Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater mist didn't let me down. The facial mist smells absolutely heavenly and feels very fresh and hydrating on the skin. The packaging is simple and sturdy, and the mist sprays evenly. I use it before my moisturiser or as a refresher. If I am not taking a shower in the morning, I use the mist on a cotton pad as a quick cleanser/toner.

Mecca Maxima and Lush Skincare Haul !

Hi guys, Haul time ! Haul time ! YAY !!

I am so excited about this haul, I shopped at Mecca Maxima and Lush and have some goodies to share. I am very happy with my purchase and so excited to try all this.

Mecca Maxima goodies (From L to R)

Origins Never a Dull Moment Skin - Brightening Face Polisher
I have been wanting to try a new scrub and I love Origins and brightening products, so decided to pick this one. Will have to see how it goes.

REN Rosa Centifolia Foaming Cleanser
This was recommended by the Mecca SA, based on my current cleanser which is The Body Shop Vitamin E cleanser, she suggested that this is gentle but a foaming cleanser. I am excited to try this.

Origins Dr. Andrew Weil Mega-Bright eye cream
This was again a recommendation by the SA for hydration and dark circles so am curious to see how it performs. I am yet to find a good eye cream and nothing seems to work for my horrendous dark circles.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal mask
I picked this because I have heard so much about this mask and had to try it and to be honest my skin can definitely benefit from this good stuff.

Soap and Glory Rich & Foamous Shower Gel
I loved the Soap & Glory Breakfast Smoothie scrub and wanted to try one of their body washes, so decided to pick this one. Well, I guess you can sense a pattern, foamy, brightening !

Scrub a dub dub !

I really enjoy body scrubs. I have previously raved about the Sukin Purifying Body Scrub, however my latest obsession is Dirty Works Buttery Salt Scrub*.

This is one of the first product I am trying from Dirty Works and I am quite pleased :). I love that they are affordable and easily available at Coles.

I am smitten by the beachy, salty smell of this scrub. It kind of reminds me of Lush's Big. This product, just as the name says, is srubby and salty but leaves skin feeling buttery smooth which is a big plus.

The Good
  • Super cute and fun packaging (love!)
  • Awesome smell (beachy, salty)
  • Nice texture
  • Adequately gritty (not too harsh, not too gentle) - provides good exfoliation
  • Leaves the skin feeling super soft and moisturized
  • Affordable
  • Tub packaging (no wastage)
  • Easily available

The Bad
  •  A bit too runny, can result in product wastage
  •  May be a bit harsh for sensitive skin

The Price
9.77 AUD (300 ml)

Where to Buy
Coles

* This product was provided for consideration. However, I was not paid for it. My reviews/opinions are always honest.

GET UNREADY WITH ME - MY NIGHT TIME SKINCARE ROUTINE !

I love the Get Ready/Unready with me videos on Youtube and I have for you, the blog version of it today !

My Night Time Skincare Routine

Step 1 - Makeup Removal

I remove my eye makeup with 'Garnier Clean Sensitive 2 in 1 Gentle Makeup Remover'. This is my go to makeup remover. Since its oil based, it does remove all the makeup but tends to leave residue on my eyes, I then clean my eyes with the 'Nivea Extra Gentle Eye makeup remover' which cleans any remaining makeup and takes off the greasy residue. More about these makeup removers HERE.

Step 2 - Cleansing

During nighttime, I get lazy to wash my face with a cleanser that requires rinsing. So as step 2, I clean my face using Bioderma Crealine H20 or the Sukin toner or something similar.

Step 3 - Moisturize

I then moisturize my skin. I apply an eye cream, followed by a night cream. I have been using the Origins 'A perfect World' as a night cream for may be two months now and I quite like it. I was using the Kiehl's Midnight recovery eye cream and I have recently started using the Origins GinZing eye cream.

Step 4 - Lip Treatment

2-3 times a week I scrub my lips, with the Lush lip scrub (not pictured here, sorry forgot. Review HERE).
For lip balms, I love the Burt's  Bees lip balm. They moisturize like no other. I use the beeswax lip balm at night time. I love the minty tingling feeling of this balm.

What are your favorite night time products ? Any recommendations ?

Racinne Skincare Australian Launch

I was invited to the Australian Media launch of the new skincare range by Racinne.

The event introduced to us the two new ranges,'Ultimate Aqua Blanc Series' and 'Ultimate Hydra Perfection Series'.

There was a presentation and demo by RACINNE Business Development Manager, Jennifer Gerace. She took us through the brand journey and also educated us on the advanced biotechnology formula, known as ‘Callus Cultivation Technology’.

Here are some pics from the event (courtsey: Zing Australia).

I was impressed by an apple test demo by Jennifer. She applied the 'Aqua Blanc Tonic' from Aqua Range on half of the apple and left the other half as is. As you can see in the pictures below (by yours truly) the one without the 'Aqua Blanc Tonic' is all brown and withered and the other looks fresh.

Lovely Jennifer Gerace

We were given a goody bag with the products from both the Aqua and the Hydra range. I am excited to try the products. More information on Racinne can be found on their website. You can buy the products from their website.

Thanks to Hannah and Frances from Zing Australia for having me. It was lovely catching up with some of the fabulous fellow bloggers.

PS note, I have not tried any of these products yet and cannot give my personal opinions as of now. Will keep you posted as and on I review them. Will do proper reviews later.
