Dr. Lewinn's 4 Fusion Cleansing Oil is the only cleansing oil or balm type of a product I have tried so far. So, obviously I cannot compare it with any other oil/balm, but I have been loving this to take off my full face of makeup. I don't use it as a general cleanser.
I enjoy taking this off with a hot wash cloth, just the experience of it, is so relaxing, especially with it being winters in Australia. As strange as it sounds, but I look forward to removing my makeup at night. My skin feels relaxed, clean and hydrated after using this.
I massage this with dry hands on to my skin and then with a bit of water I work it into my skin again. This process melts most of my makeup. I use it on my eyes as well. Usually what is left of my makeup, is only some liner on my waterline, which I remove with a q tip and that too because I don't really work it very close to my eyes. It says on the packaging to 'Avoid direct contact with eyes', so I would not recommend using it on eyes for people with sensitive eyes.
Overall, I am loving this cleansing oil and would definitely recommend it !
